Akuffo Addo must leave Ghana as peaceful as he met it- Dr Kwabena Adjei

A former National Chairman of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC),  Dr.  Kwabena Adjei, popularly known by friends as wayoo wayoo, has admonished the President, H. E. Nana Addo  Danquah Akuffo-Addo to leave Ghana as peaceful as he met it.

Dr Adjei was  speaking to Mr. Emmanuel Kwashie on Ahotor 92.3 fm  morning show this morning Monday 10th April 2017 in the wake of the NPP’s Delta Force invasion of the Kumasi Circuit Court , which sat to remand 13 of their (Delta Force) members who were standing trial for allegedly attacking the newly appointed Asante Regional Security coordinator,  who they felt was occupying a position, which had been promised the leader of their group during the 2016 campaign season. They also contend that the appointee did not contribute to the party’s electoral victory but was enjoying benefits in appointment.

Dr. Adjei who was obviously incensed by the attacks on the court says  this is an assault on Ghana’s democracy and the President must use the full force of the State to  crash such illegal groupings  before they metamorphose  into a terrorist gang that will destroy Ghana’s democracy as it happened in other nations like Nigeria and elsewhere.

Indeed he alleges that such groups always begin as dissidents of political Partys that  used and damped them.

They therefore use the opportunity to exact their pound of flesh from their leaders. But in the process it is the nation that suffers.

He has therefore admonished the President to hand over a peaceful country as he inherited it without destroying it during  his tenure as commander in chief of the Ghana Arm forces

Dr Adjei also recounts that what is happening in the country could have been averted if past criticisms against the judiciary were taken seriously to repost public confidence in their judgement.

Indeed what happened in Kumasi is a demonstration of a lack of confidence in the judiciary by ordinary people. He added.

He recounted how in the past he was vilified for calling on the Chief Justice to clean the court of miscreants before ordinary people do so.
