Private Legal Practitioner, Lawyer Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe has criticized the vice president of the republic Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia for disrespecting Ghanaians with his comment on issuing Ghana card to children right from birth.
In his submission, he said even a week after giving birth in Ghana by the traditional settings, the child does not have a name, therefore on the Ghana card what name will you put on it, he asks?
Speaking in an interview monitored by Onokwafo Yaw Asiedu of Ahotor FM, the special aid to former president John Mahama said, the flip flopper Dr Bawumia has taken the people of this country for granted and its time Ghanaians call him too other.
According to him, this same vice president Dr Bawumia jumped into the fray and told students he is going to supply laptops at the time Ghanaian students were in need of textbooks. The laptop he promised never came and now he is promising to give Ghana card at birth.
In other case, Ghanaians below the age of 15 do not qualify to have Ghana card. Therefore, if you have a vice president who is thinking right, what will be your priority, he added.
