The Assistant coach of Real Tamale United, Abdul Mumin Abdulai has expressed satisfaction about the splendid performance exhibited by his team on their win over Accra Hearts of Oak.
In an interview, coach Mumin emphasized that the impression wasn’t good when the first department of the game to an end and he cautioned them about the consequences of losing the game as well as reminding them of the promises made to the fans of Tamale.
“The general impression is that the match was good, we started slowly and they took advantage of that and scored a goal. We went and spoke to them that we are on a lifeline and we needed to win this match to put ourselves comfortably in the league and that’s exactly what they did and we got the win.”
“I think generally the impression was not good because we had looked at the league log and we realized that it was a difficult situation that we needed to solve so we spoke to one another and made them speak to one another because the team is a team effort not individual effort and the spirit that they came in with, I think it helped our course. I have said countless times that we are 100% sure RTU will be in the league next season and this is the story we have told the world.” -he added
Former Hearts of Oak player Abdul Manaf Umar equalized exactly 2 minutes into the second half after Hearts of Oak player Linda Mtange had registered the first goal and Stephen Badu Dankwa scored the second goal in the 80th minute to cement the victory.
Real Tamale United recorded a 2 :1 away win against Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on the Betpawa Premier League match day 33.
RTU lies in 9th position with 46 points after playing 33 games.
