Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseade3yo Agyeman Badu II has confronted the vice president H.E Dr Alhaji Mamahudu Bawumia over Ghana’s gold for oil policy.
Speaking to the media in an interview monitored by Ahotor FM, the president of Bono regional house of chiefs said, he is unhappy with the percentage Ghana gets from mining of mineral resources in the country. According to him, how in the name of God would Ghana gets 7% out of 100% whiles 93% goes abroad?
According to Dormaahene, countries like Equatorial Guinea gets 51% from their oil production hence why is Ghana getting 17% from our oil production, that is where the problem is, he said.
He called on the vice president, Dr Bawumia to talk to the cabinet for better negotiations for the betterment of the country.
