Accra Hearts of Oak’s poor performance is beyond technical ability – Wisdom Abbey
Former Hearts of Oak player, Wisdom Abbey expressed that the club’s recent poor domestic performance goes beyond just technical challenges.
Speaking about the performance of the former club in the ongoing Betpawa Premier League, Abbey emphasized that many coaches have come and gone but this current team is not perfect.
“I don’t think the problem is coaching because way back from Japanese coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashie, that guy was doing very very well. They should have left that coach, he would have taken them to the promised land because he built everything and everything was going on well before he was kicked out. You could see Samuel Boadu too, I mean he did it all”.
“Sometimes football is like that, it comes and goes so when it happens you just have to sit down, plan and restart. So kicking out those coaches I didn’t like it all because they were all doing well. So I don’t think the coaches are the problem sometimes they just need to sit themselves down and they need to have patience.” he added
Accra Hearts of Oak’s 4-1 loss in week 28 of the 2022/23 BetPawa Premier League sparked discomfort among the fans who have questioned the technical ability of assistant, David Ocloo.
Accra Hearts of Oak lies in 6th position on the league log with 42 points from 28 games.
