National Democratic Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu constituency Alhassan Bashir Fuseini popularly known as Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini has likened President Akufo-Addo to Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM 1.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 Fm’s morning show ‘Ade Kye Mu Nsem‘, the lawmaker said what the President had done to the economy was not different from what NAM 1 did to those who invested with his collapsed gold dealership firm.
“What Akufo-Addo is doing to Ghanaians is the same as what NAM 1 did so the President is now the NAM 2” Hon. Fuseini said.
Hon. Fuseini indicated that Ghana is so broke and its economy mismanaged to the point that the government cannot own up the coupon payment on monies that the government took from bondholders.
He also expressed outrage that the Bank of Ghana has since 2021 advanced over Ghc40 billion to the government as loans.
The lawmaker said despite the economic mismanagement, the President is afraid to sack the Finance Minister.
“The biggest danger for this country is Ken Ofori Atta, Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, the incompetence running of this economy and Ken Ofori Atta is still the Finance Minister doesn’t make sense, it won’t happened in any serious country”
“And I will always say its easier for Ken Ofori Atta to remove Nana Akufo-Addo than for Nana Akufo-Addo to remove Ken Ofori Atta.
