Gold Stars hold Hearts to a thrilling draw

The Phobians managed to rescue a point against Bibiani Gold Stars in an entertaining Ghana Premier League encounter on Saturday.

The game looked to be going the way of Gold Stars, who were aiming to achieve their first-ever win over the Hearts after Evans Owusu scored a goal just six minutes into the match.

With a goal down, Hearts refused to give up and pushed hard to get back into the game. Hearts of Oak finally found their equalizer in the 99th-minute courtesy of Isaac Mensah’s header, much to the relief of their fans.

The late goal helped them secure a point and maintain their position in the top four.

The draw means Hearts of Oak are now four points behind league leaders Aduana Stars, while Bibiani Gold Stars are five points adrift of the top spot.
