The Minister of Defense Mr. Kofi Amankwa-Manu has said that the operation carried out by the military was in line and will not apologize for carrying out the operation.
A lot of people dragged the military over the invasion they made yesterday at some places in Ashaiman over the death of one of their own.
According to the defense minister, the only apology they will render is to the innocent persons who were brutalized during the operation because the military men were carried away by anger and not or the operation carried out.
In a statement released by the Deputy Minister for Defense over the raid of parts of Ashaiman by military personnel following the murder of one of their colleagues days ago by unknown assailants in the area, he stated that the military was carried away by their anger.
But appearing on Ahotor 92.3 Fm’s Simpieso as a guest, Mr. Charles McCharthy who is an Editor Plainspoken and advisor said the Deputy Minister Kofi Amannkwa-Manu is not fit to be given a position like a Defence Minister.
Mr. McCharthy said the Deputy Minister of Defence should have spoken wisdom to the people to be ok but saying they won’t apologise is unfortunate.
