Life goes beyond Grade A school – Educationist
The Ministry of Education, and Ghana Education Service has been in the mirror for some time after a release by the fourth estate on how grade A school placement are sold.
According to the report, parents who were not comfortable with the Grade B and C schools their kids have been placed will do anything to get them the likes of the Mfantepim, Mfantiman, Presec, Wesley girls, among others.
Some had gone as far as paying GHC 20,000 for such schools.
Speaking on Yendwuma ,with Ahma Baidoo on Ahotor 92.3,an educationist and a lecturer at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Daniel Fenyi has advised parents and students that grade A schools do not determine the future of a child.
According to him, a lot of factors contributes to a child’s success.
He added that in education, life goes beyond a grade A school
“The child can get to a grade A school but if they do not commit to studying, they cannot pass”.
Grade A school are good but they do not determine the future of your child, the Minister of Education himself had graduated from a grade C school but look at him now” he said.
