Athletes Abroad: Performance of Top Ghanaian Athletes in the diaspora 

Ahotor Sports looks into the top performance of Ghanaians abroad. It was a weekend of excitement as Partey, Osman and Gyasi were all in action while Kamaldeen tasted defeat.

Ghanaian female athlete Grace Obour set a new personal record in the USA’s 200 meters (24.03 sc ).

Black Star winger Osman Bukari scored his fifth league goal of the ongoing campaign for Red Star Belgrade as they trashed Vozdovac 6- 0  

Captain Emmanuel Gyasi lasted 65 minutes for Spezia who threw away a 2- goal lead to draw 2- 2 at Empoli.

Cremonese who are winless in Serie  A so far suffered a  3- 0 defeat against league leaders Napoli,  Felix Afena Gyan featured full-time for Cremonese. 

Deputy Black Stars captain Thomas Partey was a full-timer for leaders Arsenal who were held to a 1- 1 draw at home by Brentford. Teammate  Eddie Nketia also lasted full-time.

Ghanaian duo Jordan Ayew and Jeffery Schlupp featured for Crystal Palace in their 1-1 home draw against Brighton. Fellow Ghanaian  Tariq Lamptey came off the bench to play the last 15  minutes for Brighton. 

Black Stars captain Dede Ayew was introduced in the 63rd minute for Nottingham Forest who suffered a 2- 0 defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage. 

Kamaldeen Sulemana’s full debut at Southampton ended in a 2-1 defeat against  Wolverhampton Wanderers, fellow Black Stars teammates Mohammed Salisu also lasted the full duration of the game.

Former Bristol City striker     Antoine Semaya climbed off the bench in the 79th minute for Bournemouth who shared the spoils 1-1 with Newcastle United. 

Daniel Kofi Kyereh missed Freiburg’s 2 – 1 win over Stuttgart at the Europa – Park station due to a cruciate ligament injury that will rule him out for the rest of the Season. 

Mohammed Kudus continued his outstanding form in the Dutch Eredivisie as he scored and won  Man of the match in Ajax’s 3-1 comeback win against Waalwijk. 

Ghana striker Inaki Williams returned from injury to provide an assist for Athletic Club in their 2-1 away victory against Valencia.
