The Ghana Football Association states that the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association has received the report from the Statutes Review Committee.
The Committee set a deadline of August 2, 2022, for all participants and parties in the game to present their suggestions for inclusion to the Committee.
The current GFA Statutes could be amended, according to the mandate of the Dr Ransford Abbey-led Committee, which was established in May of last year by the GFA.
The two-term mandate drafted by the former Normalization committee for the GFA Presidency is one of the major issues that will likely be revisited in the statutes, according to several sources.
There is a chance that the committee would suggest a three-term mandate for the GFA Presidency.
Since then, the five-member committee has finished its work and given the association its final recommendations. For future action, the work will be presented to the Executive Council as announced by the GFA.
However, the amendment must be submitted to FIFA and approved by the Ghana Football Association’s congress members.
