The Black Galaxies will face Niger in the quarterfinals of the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) currently taking place in Algeria.
Niger secured a place in the quarterfinals as table toppers of Group E with 4 points. The Western African nation in a group of 3 teams played 0-0 in their first game against Congo Republic, before beating Cameroon 1-0 in the final group game courtesy of a 69th free-kick scored by Ousseini Badamassi.
In the Quarterfinals, Niger will face Ghana who finished in second place in Group C.
The game between the two West African nations is scheduled to be played on Saturday, January 28 at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium in Omran at 7:00 pm.
Other Quarterfinal games will see host nation Algeria play Ivory Coast on Friday, January 27 at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers. Senegal will play Mauritania in the second semifinal on the same day at the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba.
The final game of the round will see Madagascar face off with Mozambique at the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium, Constantine on Saturday, January 28.
