It was all fun and Merry making at the Westhills Mall at the Kasoa municipality when Ahotor 92.3 Fm held our annual end of year party.
The end of year party which our General Manager Mr. Ahuma Ocansey Bosco (Daddy Bosco) Will call it ‘Get together’ saw all the staff of the station in attendance where joy and love was portrayed.
The Get Together was sponsored by the leading e-commerce platform Pigeon Ultra.
On a night where Board of Directors, General Manager, Managers, Head of Departments, Permanent workers, Casual workers and Interns sat to eat from one bowl will surely be a memorable night for all who came.
The Chairman of the Ahotor 92.3 Fm Board of Directors, Mr. Kofi Nyantakyi, an astute personality in the media fraternity applauded the gallant work the staff did this year.
Mr. Nyantakyi urged the Staff to go extra mile by working hard to move the station forward as the C.E.O Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo even believes in us to do that for his Company.
“We are proud of you all, we know how you really worked this year, I want to say thank you to you all and a word from the C.E.O Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo to you is that, he believes in you and know that you can move this station forward and he trust you alot”.
Professor Emmanuel Acheampong, a member on the Board of Directors in his address on the night also urged the Staff to put in more effort to make Ahotor Fm a major station in the Ghanaian media industry.
“You all worked hard this year but some people really worked hard and what I can tell you is that you all can do more than this and you alone can move this station forward to become one of the major stations in the country”.
The General Manager Mr. Ahuma Ocansey Bosco on the night congratulated the staff for a good work done which he experts more in the new year.
“Forgive me if I pushed you this year, I do that because i know each one of you are stars but at times you don’t see so that’s where I step in to push you to become that star I see in you, if you become a star, you don’t do that for me but for yourself”
“From deep down my heart I want to say thank you to you all and I know next year will be great”.
The night saw the Eastern Regional Correspondent of the station Mr. Eric Nyarko named the Best Correspondent of the Year.
Member of the Sports Department Daniel Nii Laryea Agbo a.k.a Xero made the Sports Team proud by taking home The Volunteer of the Year award as his Head of Sports Mustapha Haji and all the team Akavani Andrews, George Opoku Boateng(Prek3s3), Nana Adu and the whole Sports Team cheered him on.
The Head Of Programmes for Ahotor 92.3 Fm Mr. Alexander Nana Dogbe also took home the Manager of the Year award, over throwing the Head of News Mr. Godfred Sey who won the award last year.
The biggest award of the night went to Elorm Ashie(Sugar) from the Marketing Department as she won the Best Worker of the Year. An award which is based on the number of Worker of the Month a staff wins, so Sugar was the winner as she won 3 Worker of the Month awards followed closely by Emmanuel Romeo Tetteh from the News Department.
In an interview Elorm Ashie said “I thank everyone for making this possible for me, I want to say thank you to the Board and everyone.
The microphone located Emmanuel Romeo Tetteh who on the night was full of energy as usual. He told me ” Congratulations to Sugar (Elorm) for winning the Best Worker of the Year, She worked really really hard this year, She deserves it, I’m happy for her and you know she’s my sister who soughts me out with tilapia, I think this award is for her alone nobody worked more than Sugar this year “.
On his goal for the company in 2023, Romeo said “You know, according to my permutations I was second behind Sugar this year and also the year Teacher Kojo won, I was also in the frame of the possible winners and I am second this year so we go again next year, I will always put in my possible best for the betterment of Ahotor”.
The General Manager Mr. Ahuma Ocansey Bosco in an interview on the sidelines congratulated all winners of the night as he called on the rest to challenge them for their titles.
“All the winners worked hard this year and I’m proud of them all especially Elorm, you know, this is not somebody who is a professionally trained sales person but she learned on the job, She met all her targets this year as we kept increasing her targets”.
He then revealed that some programmes will break and resume on January 4th,2023 for Christmas.
