Ghanaian veteran musician and Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) Board Chairman Rex Omar has detailed his many responsibilities within the organization.
He said, “I’m the board Chairman and not even part of the management, so I don’t get up every day to drive and go sit at GHAMRO to work because my role is to lead in policy formation.
“To ensure that the administration will implement the policies so as to be able to grow the organization so I don’t go there every day because I have my own businesses that I run so people must understand that,” he continued.
In a radio interview with Kastle FM, he stated, “Kojo Antwi came to do a little and left and other people also came to continue so certainly I can’t do it all so when I go to a certain degree I will also leave it some time and look for someone to continue.”
He added that those who think he’s just chopping musician’s money at GHAMRO should know better
’’So that’s what it is so those who think that Rex Omar has nothing better doing and so he is only interest is to sit at GHAMRO and be chopping musicians money should know better.’’ He ended
