A 2020 parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress in Suame constituency, Francis Dodovi has stated with no apology that, Ofosu Ampofo is his choice for the chairmanship position
In an interview with the media, he spoke of how endowed Ofosu Ampofo is and the need for him to be retained in such a crucial time like this to lead the party
“You know I’m not a hypocrite. With no apology, Ofosu Ampofo is my choice. He is a man of the grassroot, so much endowed and down to earth”
He questioned why Asiedu Nketiah who have been a general secretary for so many years will would want to become the national Chairman
“ what is it? What is the intention? He asked
He indicated that, Ofosu Ampofo is a good man but he’s been painted black but it will not wash because the ordinary masses can testify to who Chairman Ampofo is
Mr. Ofosu Ampofo who is seeking re-election will lock horns with the incumbent General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, a former Deputy Minister of Works and Housing, Samuel Yaw Adusei, and former Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Armah Ashitey.
