Social and political commentator Mr. Kyei Innocent has slammed Adansi Asokwa MP K.T Hammond over his recent unsavoury comments about youth in Ghana. Reacting to K.T Hammond’s comments,Mr. Kyei admonished the youth to ignore characters like the Adansi Asokwa MP whom he described as an analogue Politician struggling for relevance in a digital world.
The MP took to the media to insult youth in Ghana over an incident that happened at the global citizens summitfew days ago where president Akuffo Addo was subjected to boos and humiliation. Reacting to the incident on joynews, the Mr. K.T Hammond branded youth in Ghana as irresponsible and empty headed who cannot lead the country if they were to be given a chance.
And reacting to same on an Accra based Ahotor fm, the Social commentator revealed that, elements like Mr. K.T Hammond are still stucked in the stone age and do not realize that rules of engagement as far as politics in Ghana is concerned is changing and that the average Ghanaian youth is becoming socially active and politically awakened,the reason why many of the youth are actively getting involved in political discussions in Ghana and people like K.T Hammond must accept this reality and adjust themselves if they want to be respected.
“Those irresponsible and reckless talk by K.T Hammond explain in part why Ghana’s economy is saddled with so many challenges, many of these old folks assembled together to take care of the estate have lost touch with reality, sadly we have empowered analogue politicians who are struggling for relevance in a digital world” . They don’t even realize they are the problem because to them, being old with grey hair is the only qualification to lead irrespective of one’s mental state.
He therefore called on the youth to ignore people like Mr. K.T Hammond whom according Mr.Kyei have outlived their essence and relevance in politics and encouraged the youth in Ghana to focus on how they can drive national discussion to power and enlighten others to stay political awakened and socially conscious!
