A political scientist and founding member of NPP Dr Richard Amoako Baah has indicated that the hostal reception meted out to president Akufo Addo during his address at the Global Citizen Festival on Saturday is a dyming verdict on his personality and an indication that Ghanaians are not infused with his performance.

The Global Citizen Festival is an annual music festival started in 2012 and organized by Global Poverty Project. It was founded by Ryan Gall and Hugh Evans. Gall said he was inspired by visiting Austin City Limits and seeing the branding on the stage, but wanting to replace the corporate branding with branding from charities.
The president who had gone to event to address young persons all over the world on actions his government has taken to prioritize issues bordering on women empowerment, alleviate poverty, the fight against climate change in line with the event mission for social justice was hooted at by the teaming youth present at the Black Star square.
The intense heckling and chanting of the words “away away away” eventually force the president to terminate his address midway
This according to Dr Richard Amoako Baah is an indication that president’s popularity has wind overtime due to his insensitivity to their plight.
