Black Galaxies on Friday morning departed Ghana for Nigeria, Abuja, ahead of the much-heralded second leg clash of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) slated for Saturday, September 3.
The Galaxies led by the skipper, Gladson Awako have stuck a foot in the competition slated for Algeria 2023, having defeated the Super Eagles B 2-0 in the first leg a week ago in Cape Coast, Ghana.
Goals from Hearts of Oak duo, forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Suraj Seidu gave Coach Annor Walker and his charges a huge boost as they hope to make up after missing out on the last three editions- 2016, 2018 and 2020.
Ghana has a first leg advantage over Nigeria and will honour the return leg clash at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Sunday afternoon.
The contingent comprises of twenty-two players, technical and management team members.
