The National AIDS and STI control programme says Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kits will be available in the pharmacies soon.
According to the control programmers, this will help with their effort to control the HIV and AIDS infections.
They say, ready access to the self-testing with the kits will help to early diagnosis and effective treatment to reduce the infection rate.
The Ghana AIDS Commission and other stakeholders has revealed that the first quarter of 2022 recorded 23,495 new infections.
With which 3.6% out the of this were male and 2.2 % females.
And a nine hundred and thirty two persons have died only this year.
Dr Stephen Ayisi Addo is the program manager for the National AIDS AND STI control program he said they believe this will also help fight stigmatization of HIV and AIDS.
