GFA secures sponsorship deal with Malta Guinness for Women’s Premier League

The Women’s topflight has been without a headline sponsor for quite a long time now and has left most of the clubs struggling to provide better welfare for their players.

Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal that the Ghana FA has come into an agreement with Ghana Breweries Limited as the new sponsors for the Women’s league.

The details of the multi-year deal agreed upon between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Betpawa will be announced in a colourful ceremony on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the GFA secretariat.

The current administration of the Ghana Football Association headed by Kurt E.S Okraku has been in search of a headline sponsor for the country’s top-tier league for the last three years.

The Football Association has secured some partnership deals for the Premier League from companies such as Electroland Ghana, Melcom, ZAZ Produkte, Tempo Balls, InterCity STC and Chinese Pay-TV operators, Startimes as the official broadcasters.

The 2021/22 season ended in June with Ampem Darkoa Ladies halting Hasaacas Lady’s long dominance to emerge as the new champions and will represent the country in the CAF Champions League in the upcoming season.
