Black Sherif wins injunction case against former manager

An injunction case brought against Black Sherif by his former management team has been dismissed by the High court of Ghana.

The former manager of the “Kweku The Traveller” hit-maker was asking the court to bar Black Sherif from performing songs he churched out when he was signed to his record label.

On April 11, Shadrach Agyei Owusu called out Black Sherif for breach of contract following his unofficial exit from his record label.

He subsequently filed a court case against the singer that stops him from exploiting his talent and performing old songs until the case was resolved and judgment passed.

Among other things, Black Sherif’s ex-manager also asked the court to put an embargo on Black Sherif’s streams and performances. He cried over the fact that the singer had shot him in the foot.

After filing a defense and counterclaim for Black Sherif, the team led by Samson Lardy Anyenini argued against the motion.

According to Ghana Weekend, the judge ruled today that Plaintiff had failed to make a good case for the injunction and related orders he seeks from the court.

If the motion is granted, Defendant will suffer grave injustice, according to Justice Sarpomaa Amoah.

According to the court, there was uncontested evidence that Black Sherif was no longer bound by the contract after it was terminated.

Mr. Anyenini thanked the court and stated that he was waiving the cost against Plaintiff because it would not help the parties’ ongoing negotiations to resolve the matter amicably.
