For those of us who stood high on mountain tops to pray and beg owners of WhatsApp to take away the “annoying” snap chat feature which replaced our traditional written status feature, our dream may have come true at long last!
The social media application giant has recently removed that annoying feature following angry reactions from frustrated subscribers like yourself.
“We heard from our users that people missed the ability to set a persistent text-only update in their profile, so we’ve integrated this feature into the ‘About’ section in profile settings. Now, the update will appear next to profile names anytime you view contacts, such as when creating a new chat or looking at Group info. At the same time, we’re continuing to build on the new Status feature that gives people fun and engaging ways to share photos, videos and GIFs with their friends and family throughout their day,” WhatsApp revealed in a statement.
So starting from next week, you can go ahead and enjoy briefing your friends and family on how your day went and even how you feel by just a click away! Because finally, WhatsApp indeed heard your prayers!
