Michael Blankson, an American actor has felt the economic heat in Ghana and has duly complained bitterly about it in a new post shared on his Twitter page.
The renowned comedian who has been in the country for some time said things are very expensive in Ghana than in America.
He came to this consensus when he tried buying a set of furniture somewhere in Accra and the prices mentioned sounded outrageous to him.
Commenting, Michael said; “C’mon Ghana why are things so damn expensive? I just tried to buy furniture and appliances and they are over twice the price of what they cost me in the U.S.”
In a previous post shared by Michael Blankson, has asked his American friends and celebs to advance his philanthropic work in Ghana.
Blankson has started building a school in Nsaba in the Central Region of Ghana which is almost near completion.
He had previously revealed in a tweet that children who will be enrolled in the school will be given free scholarships. In the meantime, he said anyone who wants to help with sponsorship can do so because his doors are open.
He wrote; “I’m building a private school in my village that every kid will get a scholarship to at my expense but anyone one of ya are welcome to sponsor a kid each year. I’ll let ya know in a few days how you can help.”
