Ghana Football Association don’t have confidence in we the local coaches-Mohammed Gargo
When you mention ex-players in Ghana and you don’t mention Mohammed Gargo you lost it all, the former Udinese player who joined the team in 1995 spoke to Academic and professional sports morning edition hosted by Daakyehene Amoabeng on Ahotor 92.3FM about how the Ghana Football Association members don’t have confidence in black coaches.
The former New Edubiase United coach confirmed that ‘‘it’s for a fact that the GFA don’t have confidence in we the local coaches’’, ‘‘Moreover I don’t think how we played was different form the way the foreign coaches played’’.
“It’s not about we don’t have balls but try us” Mr. Gargo lamented.
The host of Academic and Professional sports morning edition Daakyehene asked him if he applied but he replied in the negative ‘NO’ with this been his reason “Am looking at somethings that is why I did not apply but a time will come we all will apply”. He also said “we have some colleagues like Ibrahim Tanko and Kwesi Appiah who has gotten the international exposure, whom we give the necessary respect to so I don’t think we should not rush. They should be given the coaching job to do.
