The Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu in the Northern Region, Hon. A.B.A Fuseini says the minority will be calling for a probe into an allege tape of the 2nd Vice Chairperson of NPP in the Northern Region Felicia Tettey on how COVID fund was squandered among themselves.
In the said audio recording, Felicia Tettey who doubles as the Coordinator for the School Feeding Programme in the Northern Region exposed government on how covid-19 funds were shared to party members.
“The covid funds came, I was given ¢50,000. My quota was ¢50,000 as a regional second vice chairman. Then who doubles as parliamentary candidate for Sagnarigu, I had another ¢50,000. Making it ¢100,000″ she said.
She added that the constituencies were given an amount of ¢200,000. She continued and revealed that the regional executives had their share of the covid-19 fund. She made it clear that some received, ¢10,000, while others received ¢5,000 from the government.
Reacting to the audio on Ahotor Fm’s Morning show “Adekye Mu Nsem” with host Citizen Kofi Owusu, the MP for Sagnarigu, Hon. Fuseini said the content of audio should be classified as a criminal matter.
“This is a criminal matter and it should be taken up urgently” He said.
Hon. Fuseini blamed the President Akufo-Addo for doing nothing on corruption cases when it’s reported to him.
“I blame Akufo-Addo for all this, why is he not punishing all the people in his administration that have been involved in corruption cases, they will continue to do this if not punished”.
The leadership of the NPP is yet to comment on the supposed leaked audio from their Northern Regional 2nd Vice Chairperson Felicia Tettey.
But Hon. A.B.A Fuseini hinted that the Minority will demand an independent probe into the way the Covid-19 Fund was used when parliament resumes sitting.
