Member of Parliament for Builsa South constituency in the upper east region of Ghana, Hon. Clement Abass Apaak has shared his view as students in Basic schools resume today across the country
According to him, the government should have put some measures in place before schools resume but such has not happen and the lack of learning materials in various schools not helping at all
Speaking to the media, the legislator said the kind of messages he has been receiving from some heads of schools is quite unfortunate
Previously, they use to talk for themselves but now if they try is either they will be transferred or be demoted hence they are afraid to talk on lack of chalk, textbooks, etc.
In addition, the MP ask how a country can build Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) if the basic schools are weak.
