On 30th January 2022, Achicken hosted Fc Samartex on match day 11 of the zone two Division on league at the Jamsco Park at Assin Fosu. Fc Samartex were awarded a penalty in the second department of the game that resulted to the home team supporters invasion on the pitch. The home supporters assaulted Fc Samartex goal keeper Lawrence Ansah that led the game to abrupt end.
Upon review of the incident by Discipline Committee of the GFA, on referees report and carefully engagements with both clubs, Achicken Fc violated the rules of the game, as a result Fc Samartex are awarded the maximum 3 points 3 goals in the game and Achicken Fc were deducted additional 3 points from their already accumulated points and fined on undisclosed amount.
This decision from the GFA takes the Timber Giants to 39 points and leaves Achicken to the button of the table at 9 points. A welcoming news to fans and sympathizers of the Timber Giants.
