The Wednesday 22nd February 2017 edition of ‘Heroes of our Time’ on Ahotor 92.3 fm was a moment of tears for it’s patrons yet of hope for a 53 year old Madam Matilda Cudjo who has been bleeding over one year without help: a gum bleeding, which has completely caused her to lose her job, friends, weight, and lost dignity in life, has also caused her to lose all her money as a result of moving from one health centre to another without help.
Unfortunately as she has never been married nor ever given birth, she is standing alone at this moment.
Touched by her story, the ‘Heroes of our Time’ team with show host Akyena Brantuo dedicated the first 30 minutes of the previous Wednesday’s edition to help raise support for Matilda. Mr Brantuo and some staff of Ahotor fm led the campaign by donating their personal monies to assist her.
The campaign, which was positively responded to by Ahotor fm’s listeners saw the director of Stephs Clinic in Tema Community 4, Mrs Gladys Nyavor including several others calling from even outside the country to assist.
Indeed persons with herbal medicine expertise equally volunteered to help the bleeding stop.
