Concerned University Students of Ghana (CUSOG) have debunked allegations made by the president of National Union of Ghana Students, Mr Boakye Yiadom Emmanuel that they are working for the opposition National Democratic Congress.
In a communique signed by Joseph Abusaga, the general secretary of the group, it stated categorically the group is a non-politically aligned students group poised to ensuring the interest and welfare of students.
“Concerned University Students of Ghana is not working in the interest of any political party as claimed by the embattled NUGS president. We therefore entreat the general public to disregard and treat his claim with the greatest contempt it deserves”, it stated.
Meanwhile, Mr Yiadom Boakye Emmanuel, president of NUGS in an interview with the media rubished all such allegations and said the group is unrecognized.
