The deputy National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) , the hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, who is also a former minister of local government, has served public notice to embark on a ‘one man’ demonstration by walking from Accra to Kumasi to protest the councellation of the ongoing police recruitment.
The local governance expert and former board chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority was speaking with show host Akyena Brantuo on Ahotor FM’s 360 politics on Friday, 10th February, 2017.
Mr. Ampofo who was on the program to asses the one month old Akuffo Addo government, was livid about the police administration’s decision to terminate ongoing police recruitment started by the previous police administration under the erstwhile NDC government.
It is the considered opinion of honourable Ampofo that granted this allegations which has bedevil the recruitment process are true, the the police administration must take full responsibility and resign emblock for failing to supervise a credible recruitment process.
But he thinks it is rather politics more than anything else which is the real motive behind the said aborted police recruitment.
