Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for Real Madrid’s performance in their 2-1 win over Barcelona at the Camp Nou. “Rodrygo and Vinicius are doing a great job offensively and defensively. Also Marco Asensio was crucial in the second goal. The squad is doing well, they want to play and that is a good thing.” 

Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid manager): “I don’t want to talk about the other team. I think Barcelona played a good game and you can’t blame them for anything.”

David Alaba: “Of course, it’s an amazing feeling after the match. My first El Clásico, my first goal. I’m very glad and grateful. But what’s more important is the victory as a team, we’re very happy to achive our goal.”

Ronald Koeman has claimed that Real Madrid are not clearly superior to Barcelona, despite the Catalan side’s 2-1 defeat to Los Blancos in the Clasico that took place at the Camp Nou. “We played well. I think we showed we are not inferior to Real Madrid.”

Ronald Koeman endured a difficult exit from the Camp Nou on Sunday afternoon as supporters swarmed around his car at the stadium exit. The Dutch coach is blamed by most fans for Barcelona’s poor start to the season and after losing his third straight Clasico.  
Barcelona publicly condemn the violent and contemptuous actions that Ronald Koeman has experienced when leaving the Camp Nou. The Club will take security and disciplinary measures so that such unfortunate events do not happen again.

There were 86,422 spectators at the Camp Nou this afternoon. It is the lowest attendance for a Clásico played in Barcelona since 1993 (65,000). 

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has discomfort in his left knee. He will undergo tests today.
