Former President and the 2020 Flagbearer of the NDC John Dramani Mahama says some actions of some members of the ruling NPP shows how the arrogance of power has affected them.
John Dramani Mahama, talking during his nationwide ‘Thank You’ tour to the Volta Region described comments by the Director of operations at the presidency Lord Commey that the NPP is not ready to hand over power as unfortunate.
“The comments by Lord commey is unfortunate and it shows the arrogance of power in the NPP” He said.
As part of the two-phased tour of the region, President Mahama will meet the Agbogbomefia, Togbe Afede XIV, and the Asogli Traditional Council.
He will also hold an interaction with religious leaders at Dela Cathedral, Ho Kpodzi.
The former President granting a live radio interview on Global FM expressed gratitude to the people of the Volta Region for the massive votes they gave the NDC in the 2020 general elections.
“I thank the people of Volta Region that despite the intimidations of locking the borders, deploying of soldiers and not allowing the people of SALL to vote, the vote we got from the region was massive”
Mr. Mahama is accompanied by his running mate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman and General Secretary respectively, national executives, and other party stalwarts from the region.
After the Volta Region, the former president will also tour the Oti Region.
