Teachers asked to show strong commitment to job
The Techiman Catholic Diocesan Education Coordinator, the Reverend Father Martin Oduro-Bilson, has called for teachers to show strong commitment and passion for the job they are doing.
He asked that they went the extra mile to improve classroom performance – to raise the quality of education.
He was speaking at the education week celebration of the Kranka Roman Catholic Primary School at Kranka in the Nkoranza North District.
The Rev Oduro-Bilson reminded them to make sure that they properly prepared their scheme of work and lesson notes for effective teaching.
He also encouraged parents to put premium on the education of their children – making sure that they were provided with all their school needs.
He said that was the way to go to assure them of a better future.
Mr. Samuel Ofosu, the head teacher, complained about the poor state of the classroom structures and said, they needed urgent rehabilitation.
