The #fixthecountry movement has moved a drive to collect more than 1 million signatures to demand for a new constitution.
In an interaction with the media, the group argued that country’s constitution supports high level of inequality and must be addressed.
The movement on August 4 pulled one of the most successful patronized protests in recent times in Accra, with a demand of scrapping the 1992 constitution which has been used since the Fourth Republic.
Leading member of the group, Oliver Buckman Vermawor has justified their call for the new constitution.
He hinted of a demonstration on September in Takoradi.
