Three people have been confirmed dead following a clash between Ghana Police Service and a robbery gang.
All the three people dead are reportedly part of the armed robbery gang.
The police who weren’t in uniform pounced on them which lead to exchange of fire causing the death of three.
Two managed to escape but the police managed to arrest one.
According to reports, the robbery gang were returning from an operation.
They got off their cars and mixed with regular people at Shiashie to confuse the police.
Unknown to them, some police officers who weren’t in uniform were trailing them.
About 30 minutes of monitoring these armed robbers walking around Shiashie, the police pounded on them, leading to the death of 3 and arrest of 1.
Another report suggests, the armed robbers were walking around waiting to rob someone who had entered the bank to cash out.
So the police had a tip-off and moved to the scene in no uniform to foil the robbery
