The Chief officer of the Ghana Music Rights organization GHAMRO, Mr. Abraham Adjatey has criticised the leadership of the Ghana independent broadcasters association.
In an interview on Ahotor Fm, ‘s morning show on 8th February, 2017, Mr Adjetey alluded to the fact that GHAMRO has a serious problem with GIBA which is the collection of revenues for the association. He added that if this problem persist their work will be affected greatly.
This comes as a surprise because after an initial hiccup in their relationship, GHAMRO and GIBA signed an agreement to work together on 14th December, 2016.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed to agree on how members of GIBA will pay music royalties for the songs they play.
