GOVT SPENTS GHC7.3 MILLION ON FREE SHS PROJECT

Education Minister, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum says, over GHC7.3 million has so far been spent on the Free SHS since its inception in 2017.

He denied to allegations of crises in the implementation of the free SHS programme.

Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, announces widespread infrastructure to improve the programme and some reforms in the school assessment programmes in the basic schools.

During a press briefing, he said, $5 billion has been made available to complete infrastructural projects in second cycle schools to end the double track system.

National Standardised test, he said would also be introduced for the basic educational system.
