Former Cheetah FC striker has cited money as his motivation and his reason for leaving the Spanish la liga to join the Chinese super league in 2019.
The 24 year old revealed that the financial packages and incentives in the contract were too juicy to reject and looking at where he is coming from as a player, there was no way he could reject the offer .
In an interview on Ahotor Agorokansie on Ahotor FM with Daakyehene Kwabena Amoabeng, the former Levante forward said he didn’t have a second thought on the decision.
“The offer was too good to turn down. We all need money to make a living. Family, friends and loved ones all look up to you in terms of difficulties and when the need arises you have to be there for them”
“Helping all these people mostly involves money and all influenced my decision to join Dalian Yifang”
Boateng is fondly remembered for an outstanding 2017-18 season, which included scoring an incredible hat-trick against Barcelona and netting against Real Madrid. Before moving to Spain, he played for Moreirense and Rio Ave in Portugal.
He has been capped six times for the Black Stars of Ghana with one goal to his credit.
