WE CAN END HOOLIGANISM IF THE FA INTRODUCE EDUCATIVE PROGRAMS TO CLUBS AND COACHES.

Due to Stadium Hooliganism at our various league centres every season, clubs lose vital points, fans get injured, properties destroyed and sometimes life lost. The supporters of the various clubs either disagree with officiating or a misunderstanding between rival fans before, during or after a game are the main causes of these hooliganism.

Ahead of the new season, former Asante Kotoko player and coach Malik Jabir has advised the  GFA through the  Technical Director to come out with educational programs for all stakeholders to help eradicate hooliganism from our game.
The former Black Stars player is of the view that, educating all involved will help the game grow in a long way.

“The FA’s Technical Director should engage all the clubs and give them special education about the upcoming season when it comes to Stadium Hooliganism because the time has come for us to witness fair results and we can achieve that if players, coaches and supporters respect the rules. The Referees should be respected as well. We have to educate all stakeholders because it’s the way to go “
“Kotoko got a lot of challenges during last season’s campaign because of Stadium Hooliganism and this time we have to put a stop to that. Supporters should also learn how to comport themselves”

The experience gaffer says he is available if chosen as an ambassador to educate people on hooliganism. With what I have seen and the experience I have, I will not hesitate to take up the opportunity to help the FA .

” For me, I’m ever ready to campaign against Stadium Hooliganism if the FA appoints me as an ambassador. Football is not a war but they have to pay me just as other members of the FA are receiving money.I have worked for the FA for so many occasions without salary and that won’t happen again “

Going into the new season, Jabir believes it’s going to be an exciting season and have high hopes for the various teams to live up to expectations.

“I’m happy about  the clubs especially how they did their signings. This shows that clubs are ready for the season and indeed the season will be great and tough”
The ex player also had few applauds for the media and believes they have contributed a lot and deserve credit as well.
