SUTESCO students were not made to sleep at the gates.– Authorities
Authorities at Suhum Senior High Schools (SUTESCO) has described as false, the information being circulated in some media houses and the social media that, third year students returning to school late were made to sleep outside the school gates.
According to an authority of the School who preferred to speak on anonymity said, , that information should be discarded with contempt as it is intended to tarnish the image of the institution, and has no credibility.
According to the source, students were welcomed to the school on the said day from the early hours till 6:15pm when the gates were closed and the teachers and the security personnel of the school retired.
The students in groups of 25 were given a room which earlier on takes over 70 students due to their huge size.
However, the school authority were informed that, some of the students were stranded at the gate, and the security personnel were detailed to allow them in, and get them a room to spend the night, pending the Ghana Health Service protocols which all the earlier students went through.
Their isolation from the others were to afford the authorities the opportunity to bring the late comers up to beat with respect to the protocols.
The students, according to the authorities, did not raise any objection so were surprised to hear the false publication.
