Some MPs who lost their seats over the weekend during the NPP primaries are pointing fingers against some distractions which was not noticed by the delegates.
Offinso South MP Ben Abdallah Banda, blames his failure to retain his seat on his workload in Parliament.
About 40 incumbent lost in the party’s primaries held over the weekend on Saturday, June 20, 2020.
Speaking to the media, Abdallah Banda said their responsibilities as chairpersons of such committees denied them the opportunity to be present in their constituencies as expected.
Mr. Abdallah, who expressed shock over the turn of events, wondered why they would be rewarded in such a manner when all they did was work for the party.
On why he failed to secure a bid in his own constituency, MP said he could not point to one reason but he suspected the suspension of some party members may have contributed.
He, however, indicated that he accepts the results as the true choice of the delegates.
