The Parliamentary candidate for Esikado Ketan Constituency on the ticket of the NDC, Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah has questioned the motive behind president’s decision to reopen schools despite the covid19 danger hanging over the country. According to her government has so for failed to rope in measures that will ensure the safety of school children.
The aspiring member of parliament on the ticket of the NDC who doubles as a member of NDC’s covid19 team has counseled government to open online portals for students to be used to facilitate learning.
In the face of what appears to be a glaring danger, Dr. Ayensu questioned if parents would allow their wards to go back to school “will you allow your child to go back to school ? she queried.
The non availability of PPE’s which are basic in the fight against Covid19 has raised concerns among parents considering the surge in the number of cases Ghana has recorded so far. As it stands now Ghana has recorded 8,885 cases of Covid-19 with 3,189 recoveries and 38 deaths
