The National Youth of the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Opare Addo has advised government to listen to the Ghana Medical Association ( GMA) before reopening schools.
According to Mr Addo in a phone interview with Agyewodin Akosua during COVID WATCH SHOW on Ahotor fm, government should listen to the Association because they are the right people who have full idea of the situation and how to control it.
“ During the lifting of the lockdown in some parts of the country, government never consulted these experts. They should have consulted the medical team first but they didn’t and that gave the number of covid 19 case in Ghana a drastic rise though we were told Ghana is at its peak.A friend told me he doesn’t know if it’s peak milk or not. As am talking to you today, in Community (twenty two (22) we have recorded about 6500 cases which we are worried so then anyone who agrees for schools to reopen is soo insensitive to kids”.
