Rocky Dawuni calls for food security

International reggae artist and Grammy nominee, Rocky Dawuni has called for food security in the country in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He was speaking during in an interview with ace presenter Okyerefuor on Ahotor 92.3 FM’s drive time show, ”Ahotor Kwanso.”


He said it will be best if the youth take agriculture very seriously because that is going to put food on our table even through this pandemic. He added, “We have to depend on our own food for security and that is going to be our key buzz word in the next few years.”

Rocky noted, “Farming is an inspiration and the soil and nature represents us as blacks. Even our water bodies and land should be secured so that we can get food in stock for the future.

The Grammy nominee also spoke about his cocoa farm in Eastern region and encouraged other musicians to embark on agriculture.

Rocky is known for hits like “In Ghana,” “African Reggae Fever” and “Crusade.” He has six albums to his credit including the Grammy nominated album, Branches of the Same Tree.
