Emmanuel Boateng hints of the return of the Chinese League soon
The sudden outbreak of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in the halting of football activities around the globe.
Countries like Germany resumed football activities over the weekend while countries like England, France, Spain are all planning to resume their leagues soon.
Although China the epicentre of the virus also halted football leagues, Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng who plays for Dalian Yifang in the Chinese league says the Chinese league is likely to resume in June or July this year.
The former Levante UD goal poacher told Daakyehene Kwabena Amoabeng on Ahotor FM’s Warmup Sports that training has resumed.
”It’s true, the league was halted when the virus broke out, but to God be the glory we have resumed training, waiting for the league to resume which authorities say it will be June or early July this year” He said.
Emmanuel Boateng revealed that living in a country which was classified as the epicentre for the novel corona virus was strange and awkward.
When asked about his ambitions, Emmanuel Boateng said getting a call up into the senior national team, the Black Stars is his biggest dream but all depends on the coach of the Black Stars, C K Akonnor.
