Executive Director for Alliance Social Equity and Public Accountability, Mensah Thompson says he is not surprised of the water crisis in some parts of the country including Tema.
According to Mr Thompson, the Ghana Water Company Limited issued a statement that the turbidity of our water bodies was increasing and it was caused by galamsey.
Unfortunately, the President has pretended to be fighting galamsay, and yielded no result.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 fm, Mr Thompson said, President Akufo Addo allowed galamsey to go on all in the name of his party needing money, and it has polluted almost all water bodies, so where does he expect Ghana Water Company Limited to get water to supply to the citizens, he quizzed
He prophesied of a bigger water crises after three months due to the free water that he (President) in his populist style promised the country, with its attendant huge water bill for government settlement.
