Editor in Chief of the Daily Dispatch, Ben Ephson shares the view that the suspension of Bernard Allotey Jacobs, the former chairman of the Central regional branch of the NDC is a step in the right direction.
Speaking with Emmanuel Martey aka Alaska the Don on Ahotor FM’s political show “Asem Yi Di Ka,” Ben Ephson indicated that no individual or group of individuals is bigger than a political party.
He however added that, he does not think the NDC should have boycotted the Peace FM’s morning show “Kokrokoo” on which Allotey Jacobs’ made his ill comments.
Mr. Ephson says “If Allotey Jacobs does not understand the reason for his suspension he can equally leave the party.”

In a press release signed by the national chairman of the party Hon. Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the NDC suspended Allotey Jacobs on Wednesday, May 6 for “persistent anti-party conduct” in accordance with Articles 46(1), 46(6) and 46(8b).
The release also covered the party’s decision to boycott Kwami Sefa Kayi’s “Kokrokoo” morning show due to what it described as unfair panelling which has been to the party’s disadvantage.
“Asem Yi Di Ka” on Ahotor 92.3 FM airs on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7.00 – 9.00 pm.
