President for Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association ( GIBA ) Mr Danso Aninkrah says, Journalism is not a crime and condemned the various attacks on Journalists whose works brings great dividends to our democracy.
He stated that, journalism is not a crime or any sort of deviant behavior but a courageous work that requires understanding, eloquence and beholds on you to be bold.
In Ghanaian history until recently, the media and journalists have been one of the best in the world as they have enjoyed freedom of operation since the beginning of the 4th republic. But lately, there have been so many issues of threats, beatings, maltreatment and even killing of some journalists without the various governments doing enough to bring the perpetrators to book.
Media in other sense and jurisdiction is termed as the 4th arm of government and has rights to operate under the law, act solely and independent as the laws of the land states.
