Chairman of the Parliamentary Christian Fellowship, and a Member of Parliament for Ho West, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah and the Muslims Caucus led by Hon.MP for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini has led Parliament House to observe the National Day Of Fasting And Prayers.
In all, ten (10) Members of Parliament made up of five (5) Christians, five (5) moslems, and two Clerks of Parliament prayed on different subject matters related to the deadly Coronavirus outbreak in The country.
Mr. Bedzrah opened the prayer session with exhortation and the Speaker of The House, Professor Aaron Mike Ocquaye presided over, and asked God for forgiveness as he offered the closing prayers.
The Presidential directive to observe Wednesday, 25th March, 2020 as the National Day Of Fasting And Prayers is aimed at asking for God\s intervention in the coronavirus epidemic which is taking a bad toll in the country
According to the Ghana Health Service, Ghana as of 25th March, 2020 68 persons have be affected with 2 deaths.
Individuals are also reminded to observe the day and pray to God against the deadly coronavirus that is spreading across the whole world as directed by the President.
Again individual must fast according to his or her capacity and health status, and pray to God to have mercy and heal the land from this deadly disease.
