Exchange of Dirty Slaps Suspend Ongoing Ghana Card Registration At Nsutam
Even as some organisations and other citizens are calling for the suspension of the Ghana Card Registration in the eastern region, the shoddy work ongoing in Nsutam/Nsuapemso Electoral Area in the Fanteakwa south district in the eastern region, was brought to a halt as exchange of dirty slaps between NIA official and a poor citizen.
According to eyewitnessess, the incident happened when the NIA official was on his usual work of giving some protocols to those who came late but the frustrated the poor citizen who had come to join the queue at around 2:00am at midnight couldn’t hold his anger since it was too much and for that matter complained bitterly.
His complains also angered the official which made him slap the poor guy and assured him of police arrest for disturbing the ongoing process. The poor guy also retaliated and then chaos broke out.
When all hearts were cooled, the NIA official refused to continue the distribution of the ID cards and that has since morning halted the process.
The District Supervisor in an interview with Radio1News/ Ahotor news revealed that he is not authorised to comment and so refused to speak on the matter.
Meanwhile, our checks revealed that, that has been the norm since they started. The officials have their own protocols irrespective of the time they get to the center.
They give access to ladies they are interested in, and to their girlfriends and family members when those who joined the queue at midnight are denied of the process.
